Hazmat suits

I bought a box of Wargames Atlantic minatures mostly for fun. Tossing them in ass npc:s or something in special scenarios but mostly just for the excuse just to build or paint something different.
The miniatures were 30 in a box, no bases but with lots of head options. Im really not inpressed by the miniatures, way to stiff boring poses. But I liked all the heads. With paint on them they look decent enought and they were rather fun to paint and that was what was most important.

Here are the first five built and painted as a hazmat suit.

UR-025

Ive painted UR-025 from Blackstone Fortress, the campaign boardgame from GW set in the 40k universe. I bought it of some dude that har bought the box and split the content and sold it seperatly.

Its hinted at UR-025 is not an Imperial robot but rather a survivor from the men of Iron era long ago.

I liked the miniature and thought it would be fun to paint something different. Colourwise I went for something alittle retro scifi. I wanted something like 60s-70th ish scifi.

The miniature might be used as sometkind of bodyguard in an imperial HQ squad or something like an npc in special scenarios.
But I bought it mostly for just to paint him.

White Scars Sicaran Punisher Assault tank

I just love the Sicaran tanks in all it variants.
The Punisher variant is not one Ive ever seen so I wanted one for my "White Scars". A agile tank that put out a lot of hurt... Could be perfect for my collection.

Ive added some extra stowage and bits to make really fit into my weathered on campaign look In after with my "White Scars".

I like the look of the turquise verdigris effect I added on the shield plate on the side and its something I plan to continue with in the future.

And here with her sister wagon...

I must admit that the strange sci-fi colours pickings of white and red works suprisingly good even with lots of markings and bare metals and such.

Alpha Legion Destroyers

Here we have my new Alpha Legion Destroyer unit.
Paintingwise its a little experimentation. I tried using chipping fluid for a neat effect. The idea was to have a dark grey colour that is chipped revealing the metallic blue/green of my regular Alpha Legions underneath.
The transfers of dark red markings on the shoulders didnt turn out that good, the miniatures are to dark so you can hardly see its even there. But the hand painted ones in lighter grey on the other shoulder turned out better.

The models are regular plastic mkIV marines but with different weaponry, arms and other bits. I wanted to have the gritty feel to them so of coarse they have chainswords instead of regular blades.

Two of the Destroyers were given plastic 40k Thousand sons flamers to represent Toxiferran flamers.
The Sergeant is equipped with a thunderhammer because its so cool.
