Here are my latest books from Osprey.
Pike and Shot Tactics 1590-1660
European Medieval Tactics (1)
and Medieval Scandinavian Armies (1)
In the search for my next
big project I ordered these books some time ago.
Having read throe the Pike
and shot book I highly recommend it, it’s a nice book with lots of explaining
pictures and diagrams.
I’m currently reading the
European medieval tactics book and this looks to be equally good.
The Scandinavian armies
book is next on my list. Its an older Osprey book and I have heard some mumblings
about its correctness, and about the authors but as my knowledge about this
time is rather limited so I think It will be enjoyable even thou I will have to
read something’s with "a grain of salt" so to speak.

Casualties
The good
thing with being in-between some larger project is that you can make this sort
of jumps in size, history and conflicts.
I just
painted these casualties markers just for fun, but its for an conflict in history that I don’t
game at the moment at least.
I got some spare miniatures that was left after I kitbashed myself some Norsemen and thought they could be a little fun to paint now.
But the thing is…
they were really fun to paint, so fun that I seriously consider to starting up a
medieval project centered around Sweden.
The
miniatures are from Conquest Games and the casualty counter bases are from TinyTerrain

Pimp das auto
Just for
fun I painted this small car. Its ment as a terrain piece in Dropzone Commander
which is a 10mm game so this is a small piece.
The model is a prepainted railway piece that I pimped. Sorry I dont remember the exact scale. I didn´t have any references on the paintjob, just freehanded.
It is
somewhat fun to be in between major projects as you can easily paint this sort
of stuff.

Sly Marbo
I converted and painted this model just for fun.
I thought he could be nice as a miniatures to represent Sly Marbo in warhammer 40k Imperial Guard. He is made from components from plastic Space Marine Scouts and Cadians.
Please note his Tigerstripe camo pants.
I have no army to use him in but thought I could try to pursuede one of my friends at the club to take over the alimony on this guy. ;)

Small house painted
I got this
small house from Tiny Terrain and painted it up for my gaming club.
I nice little terrain piece that was quick and easy to paint up.
The kit
offered lots of possibilities with lots of parts so you could different types
of buildings from a basic house. Although I don’t play steam punk types of
games I thought the building would look dandy with some extra gears and vent
shafts on it.
I painted
the roof directly on the sprue and glued it onto the building after this. This technique
gave me an interesting roof with lots of minor color variations in no time.
The window
was painted with a gloss varnish to get that shiny glass effect but it didn´t
come thru on the pictures.
Highly
recommended kit to get a nice terrain piece in no time.
Malcolm here is just shown for scale. Maybe he has some evil plans with this small factory...
