Alpha Legion Vindicator Siege tank platoon

I have over a couple of years now collected 2hand Vindicators and in my effort to work on the pile of shame they were next on the list.
The interesting thing with 2hand miniatures are that some things are glued shut, things have huge gaps or bits are missing, the tracks were a chapter of it self. People should really learn how to follow the building instructions...
But with new bits and more glue things can be fixed and most of the quirks can be hidden with paint.. Or i can just call it field repairs and battle damage.

I painted them in the same colour scheme as my Sicarans or my Predators, inspired by British ww2 caunter camouflage that they used in the desert, but with other colours here.
I skipped some details on the mud in the end as I just wanted to get them finished. I dont really plan to use them all, these are more for the collecting or fun part of the hobby so its okey. I still really like the looks of them.

I actually think I prefer the looks without the huge siege shield.

Horus Heresy AAR - Alpha Legion vs Ultramarines

I had a test game of Horus Heresy 2.0...

Well this was played before we had the official rules but we got by with leaked rules. Im sure we made lots of error but it was fun to get a feel to the new mechanics and we were unsure of some stats and weaponry.
But we had good enough knowledge and info to get us by.

- You cant catch me.. tihi...

Having lost all his bodyguards previously in the Ultramarine Preator is in a combat with an Contemptor dreadnought.

A lone double kheres mounted Contemtor Dreadnoughts tries to hold the line..

Mmmm.... Heresy muffins..

In the last assault face my Preator tried to charge the Ultramarines Preator but because of the terrain he could not make it in for a nice final moment.
And the same with my last two Tartaros Terminators, they coulnt make the distance for helping my Breacher Sergeant.

Overall it was a real fun game and I really think this new edition of Horus Heresy will be great. Looking forward top play more games.

Hasslefree Miniatures Grymn for Rogue Stars

My friend Håkan handed me these and told me that he wanted them painted.
He gave me free reign in picking colours...

The miniatures are from Hasslefree Miniatures, mostly from their Grymn line. At first I was somewhat hesitant of them but the more colours I gave them the more they crew on me. And in the end I really liked them.

As these are sci fi miniatures and with no fixed colour scheme I opted to go with a sort of minty colours on the armour, british ww2 brown uniforms beneath and golden visors.
For the bases I wanted to have a real alien world so I went with white with red sipping through.

I gave the pilot a small tea bag hanging on the side of his cup.

With their alien friend I painted his weapon and rucksack in different shade to make him even more alien.

Some kind of green dog-ish creature.
