Lord Marshal Dreir leading Deathriders of the Death Korps of Krieg

Here we have the plastic Deathriders for the Death Korps of Krieg with the new special character Lord Marshal Dreir.
I am really really impressed by the new plastic Deathriders. Lots of options, bits and such nice movement in the miniatures.

The old Forgeworld resin miniatures were nice but they were standing still. The new ones larger so it might be hard to interchange them in units, but I have plans to rebase the old ones with raised bases so it would trick the eyes somewhat.

I gave their officer a hackle from a Napoleonic shako from my historical collection of bits... To make hime stand out even more.

I gave one of the riders a drum, also from my Napoleonic bit pile...
I guess his drumming skills might be a bit unappreciated as I think all of these miniatures might have hearing disability, both from their helmets and gas masks but also from all the shelling and livefire from both training and actual combat...
But i like the added fun little detail.

Death Korps artillery

Here we have a piece of Death Korps of Krieg artillery.
The kit came with a variety of swapable barrels so you can use the one that is most fitting for the task or which one is cooles.

I didnt like the look of the lower gunshield or the sandbags that is supposed to be placed on the sides. They didnt make any sense so I just leaved them of and I think the results looks better this way.

I tried some different colourschemes on the gun platform. Still keeping with the theme but I went with some "wrong" colours, trying gray and yellow. The "wrong" colour choice I really feel capture the ww1 look when they just started to try out camouflage. But after chipping and weathering the colours really tied the modell together and the yellow and gray against brown fitted really good together.
That was a fun experience.

I havnt glued the gun to the base. The reason is so I am able to use it as a terrain or objective piece in games.

All the gun is interchangeable and just snap-fit together.

Lincon 2025

Me and some friends visited Lincon this year.
I think its Swedens biggest board, tabletop and roleplaying game event.
Its been ages since I visited it but Im glad I did this year.

We had decided to not play in any major tournament or such but instead try to play smaller games during our two days stay.

"Texas" held some Battletech games. He had made a really nice gaming table with a city and a rural area with a landing platform in between. It had lots of details and small vehicles, the more you looked the more you noticed.

Impressive arena for Blood Bowl.

Lincon Burgers in the making...

We decided to test out the Battletech game.
Our game is set in a campaign and the previous game in the event and previous Lincon set the stage for this game.

Smoky and the Bandit is seen racing, followed by a cop car...
Just one of all the details that was added to the gaming table.

My mech slipped on some slippery stones in the water and was instantly attacked by a "Spider", light mech. Fortunately I had a friend as backup close by that hopefully can save my as...

We managed to take out the light mech and are flanking around the city. I tried to use the river to cool down my mech that easily got hot when firing all its laser.

A Soviet armoured column is encountering an Swedish armoured force in a small village.

The beautiful Stridsvagn 103 or as its also is known as, a Stridsvagn S

30 years war in 15mm using the Pike and Shot rules.

WW2 patrol action in the Black sea. An Soviet convoy encounters German ships given to the Romanian Navy.

Space hulk game. Chaos Terminator on one side, Imperial terminator on the other and Tyranid Genestealers tries to stop them both.

It ended in a duel, the Space wolves claims the victory over the Chaotic forces and the Genestealers lurking underground.

Here follows some "Army on parade" pictures of Horus Heresy 30k. they held a Centurion sized campaign. With some excellent painted miniatures.

Warhammer Old Wordl tournament.

Time to try out the patrol game.

I really liked the patrol game. It was lots of fun and is highly recommended.

And it looks like there are lots of fun ships to paint and game with.

Lions Rampant

We ended our visit to the event with a game of Omega Protocol.
The gamemaster had 3d printed some terrain that really made a board game pop.

It has some interesting gaming mechanic and it seems to be lots of options.
My criticism would be that it felt as it was a little bit to complex without the need for it. It felt that some things could have been made less complex without loosing out.

It was excellent to get away with the guys and just play some games for two days.
The event I think was for four days but the real world called for us.
