Sertoria Comitus, Chapter 3 Game 2, The lost records from the lines of Flavius Cassius

These are the lost records from the Reconquest campaign of Sertoria Comitus.
Imperial Astopaths and Imperial Scribes are trying to combine and compile the lose information they have managed to snap up in to a coherent picture of the event that took place.

The information are old and scrambled, the Imperial bureaucracy are having trouble to get a correct picture. What is known is that all is not well with the Reconquest effort of the planet of Sertoria Comitus.

Scarce information are put together from a defensive line outside of the settlement of Flavius Cassius.
What is known is that a fast Aeldari forces had broken through the the
power station of Aulus IV and a hastily defensive force was put together and moved in their way. Not having properly time to dug in the Imperial forces tried to use what was left after the Xenos massive bombardment that had paralyzed the Imperial government prior to these actions.

The lost records of the battle of the Aulus IV power station - http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.com/2023/02/sertoria-comitus-chapter-3-game-1-lost.html

The defenses seems to have been organized in two lines

Initial Aeldari forces pass through generators that generate electrical power by harnessing the heat from the rock underneath.

Aeldari forces passes the tank traps effortless.

Imperial forces tries to stop the xenos at the first defensive line.

Xenos shenanigans.

Aeldari forces have broken through the first lines, carving a path of Imperial blood...

Imperial mechanised forces have tried to plug the gap.

Aeldari forces are assaulting the heavy weapons of the second lines.

An incarnation of death moves through all that is tossed in its path...
(We used an XP system in this campaign and if I remember correctly the Aeldari warlord had got an extra strength point or extra attack, making the carving up of the Imperial forces even easier...)

Engineers with poisonous gas grenades and none-regulated special issued shotgun ammunition tries to take out the warlord...

It did not go as planned...
The incarnation of death was still standing...

Fix bayonets...

The Death Korps Marshall is forced to draw his sabre in an attempt to stop the monster...

Death her self cannot stop the will and strength of the Imperial steel...

The enemy Autarch was finally stopped... All hail the High Marshal of the Death Korps 317th Grand Armé....

The exact outcome of the battle is unknown for the Imperial scribes and even though the Imperial forces made a courageous effort to stop the Xenos that are marked down in the archives, it is though that the Aeldari had broken through the defense lines.

All hail the heroes.

Death Korps of Krieg - Field Ordnance Battery

The new Imperial Guard Field Ordnance battery is a neat little addition to the guards. Like a mini earth shaker battery I think it has its place fluff wise.
I wanted them to look similar as its larger cousins and ended up making greenstuff wheels from pressmoulding the wheels from the heavy weapons teams and mounting them in similar fashion.

I made the gun swapable  so these ordinance can switch between the heavy las cannon and the field gun.

Paintingwise I used French WW2 camouflage pattern but with alternative colours on the field ordnances. I painted a small red triangle, also a french WW2 marking for artillery.
The crew is painted in my standard Death Korps colours of german ww2 camoflage and I added red collar tabs to mark them as artillery crew.

It doesnt come through that distinct on these pictures but I added mud effect on some places on the bases making them semi wet, making the mud really terrible for the soldiers...

Sertoria Comitus, Chapter 3 Game 1, The lost records of the Aulus IV power station

These are the lost records from the Reconquest campaign of Sertoria Comitus.
Imperial Astopaths and Imperial Scribes are trying to combine and compile the lose information they have managed to snap up in to a coherent picture of the event that took place.

(I must have forgotten to put these pictures on the blog but I just found them in a old forgotten folder on my computer, this will make for some sporadic information on older pictures...)

The information are old and scrambled, the Imperial bureaucracy are having trouble to get a correct picture. What is known is that all is not well with the Reconquest effort of the planet of Sertoria Comitus.

Here under we can see a small collection of pictures taken during what to a initial clash outside the powerstation of Aulus IV.
If the data is correct Aeldari movement had been picket up and a defense force was readied and a another force was rerouted to the area intended to hit the enemy in the back...
The plan seems to have been to smash the Aeldari force in the middle, but the sneaky and fast xenos is not easy to pick apart...

First recon forces of the Death Korps enters the area.

Elite infantry and tanks moves up.

The Aeldar forces speeds out of the fog of war and the defenders are not prepared for this speed.

Heavy fighting in the area of the power station.

More Aeldar forces hit the Death Korps attack in the rear.

The defenders tries to push out the Xenos.

Leman Russ battletank pushes at full speed to release the pressure on the defenders, trying to hit the rear of the Falcon as it tried to use the hill for cover.

Engineers from the Death Korps storms up with their shotguns ready, trying to hit the rangers behind the cover.

The xenos abhorrents dismounts.

Their transport is seen in fire, a prof of the poor mechanical workmanship of the Xenos race.

Eldar gravtanks use the speed and hit a Imperial tank at close range...

Here the picture feed ends and later reports of the power station of Aulus IV is offline. It seems the Imperial forces was defeated unable to defeat the Xenos...
