Death Korps of Krieg Engineers/Grenadiers?

I got the Death Korps box from GW around January but it has "matured" until now. First out of the miniatures from that box is a small unit of Engineers. But the face masks is the scull mask used by the Grenadiers so Im not sure why GW did that.
I guess the Engineers are equipped with scull masks now, I think it looks dope but it was funnier to have a larger aesthetic difference between the two units.

I went with a drill bomb, flamers and trenchclubs and autopistols because it looks cool.
Rulewise It looks like shotguns are better then trenclubs but I play so little and never in a tournament so that really doesnt matter.


They look really cool so I was tempted to buy another unit. But my local store didnt have any Death Korps miniatures in right now so I might be safe for some time. There are always other miniatures to paint...

Legio Imperialis Leman Russes

 
I got my hands on a small squadron of Leman Russ just for painting. I got more projects then I have time to paint or play with but they are so cute...

I added lots of extra details to give them a more rugged, in the field feeling to them then a clean out of the box miniatures and I like the end result.

The barrel of one of the Vanquishers are painted in the same "hiding" technique as the British used on their Fireflies in WW2 on Sherman squads.
Making it look like a standard tank and not as easy for the enemy to single out the greatest threat.

The miniature were originally released by a company called Harlequin miniatures.

And I got three spearmen back in the days but when North Stars had a limited re release of them I went a little over board and got my self a small army to supplement them...
I have converted some musicians but other then that they are standard.

These were fun to paint and I love the end result.
