In the previous game we saw the armoured might of the Solar Auxilia make a breakthrough with its armour in the village of Talwasa. It was a costly affair and far from a decisive battle. This meant that large groups of enemies was still left in the village holding pockets.
The village of Talwasa was of no interest for the armoured might and a decision to move in infantry to engage and clear out the village. This was of secondary interest and the infantry is locked in a lengthy conflicts.

My friend and I wanted to test out the Decurion rules from the Mornival event guys.
Its a skirmish way of playing, models are acting in smaller groups or as individuals. We had a 200pts game of Solar Auxilia vs Militia.

We played the 3ed Fire Sweep mission.

Mmmm coffee...

Solar Auxilia troops with an Engineseer and his servo-automatas with heavy bolters... Serous firepower

Xenos mercenaries of the Eastern Fringe Trading Company assist the Solar Auxilia troops.

Militia snipers and heavy bolter team holding a ruin.

Grenadiers moving forward.

Having lost most of his closest guards the Solar Auxilia commander moves back wounded, trying to get better cover.

Engineseer moves forward.

Trying to club the grenadier with his heavy bolter the servo-automata engage in close combat.

An Solar Auxilia medic assist and engage and trying to assist the servo-automata.

The Solar Auxilia commander managed to survive in the ruins.

In the end the Solar Auxilia forces under the Eastern Fringe Trading Company managed to come out on top with a minor victory. Another bloody game in our campaign.

This was the first time we tried the Decurion add-on rules and I really like them. Im sure we made loots of rulesmistakes but we had fun doing them.

Its a really intense way of gaming and every diceroll seemed to be very important.
