Here we have some pictures from our Warhammer Old World Escalation campaing 2.
We were up to 750pts now, a 250pts raise from the previous game day.

Unfortunately we were only four players this day, but at least an even number.

First game my Ellyrians faced the marauding barbarians from the north.
The scenario dictated a randomized deployment in different areas, randomized on the table in 6 equally sized squares.

And thous it felt upmost important to have the first turn. It felt like the scenario would be decided on who got the first turn.
So when the massive barbarian stinking with the taint of Nurgle challenged a champion for the first turn I just had to accept it.

But with strength of a mere elf, the sword of my Silver helm champion fail to inflict any real damage on the brute that in the end smashed the elf to the ground...

With the gruesome horrors from the challenge my cavalry force was to stunned to act and the forces of darkness took the opportunity and charged both my units of Silver helmes... Denying me to use my lances...
This could be devastating for my force.

One of my Silver helm units survives the initial charge, being caught totally of guard. The "thick" elven armour prevailed against the flails.

With a massive encircling with my light cavalry the marauder cavalry was doomed.

In an act of revenge the Ellyrion Reaver champion challenged the marauder champion to a duel. With the speed of his swift steed beneath him things looked differently and the tainted warrior fell.
The life of the Silver Helm champion had been repaid...

The massive tainted berserker marauders with flails are surrounded by swift elven light cavalry...

But with reinforcements from the forces of darkness my swift sparks of light are scattered... Turns out the toughness of an elf combined with only a aluminum light armour really cant take a beating...

The elf force are down to just small lone units, far from the gathered force that was meant to stop this coming of darkness...

Small numbers of arrows were not enough to make a dent, not enough to soften up the enemy enough for my remaining cavalry to even stand a small chance...

The forces of darkness could capture the objective and were victorious.
