Astropath

"Blindness may be the price I pay for the God-Emperor’s sacred touch, but I see more than you can possibly imagine. I see worlds rolling countless and wondrous beyond, I see colours and sights that would burn your mind to cinders by their merest glimpse. I see...Them, lurking in the spaces between realities, their claws ever scratching to get in, ever wanting. No, it is you who are truly blind, ignorant and imperiled as a helpless child in the blackest night with ravening wolves all around. For they are here, right now around us and you cannot see. In the dark, in the light it matters not... for they see you and they hunger."

Ever since I first saw the masterpiece of art that I have as the first picture here I fell in love with her... I knew that I wanted to find a miniature like her or a miniature that I could convert to look like her.
I found this miniature from Reaper and found it so close enough that I didnt really wanted to convert her, all I have done is giving her a pistol.

She was really really fun to paint, and I had a hard time stop painting... When the sun started to go up last Saturday I thought it was time to stop that painting session... And here we have her finished.

I didnt go for a direct copy but I wanted to play with black and different tones of grey. Keeping the tones muted.

And for anyone wondering... Yeah she is a fine detailed small miniature... A really really small brush was used in painting her.

And here we have her escorted by two of my Solar Auxilia Veletaris. Shown for scale.

  4. Great work with the black. It's so easy for it to be a eye sucking blot with no contrast. It's quite easy to discern the sculpt so well done. A lovely find for an astropath figure too.
