This is one huge troll… And as it’s a lead miniature it bring some heft to the gaming table…
As with the other troll I painted earlier this is a Bob Olley sculpt but its OOP.

The miniature is based on a double cavalry base from Renadra(50x50mm)
I really like him and the other Bob Olley trolls, so full of character.

Norsemen Drengr

I wanted some light infantry for my Norsemen and found it in these miniatures from Griping Beast. I added some wire spears and they were ready for a quick paintjob.

These miniatures will depict Dregr in my collection.

Old Norse drengr = 'young man, bold man'

The Drengr was free men but not holding any own land, instead worked for a another on his land.

The sculpts are a little special… I like the sculpts and some of the faces are really good, but the arms are to short. They are not able to wipe their own bums with those short arms…

 

Big nasty troll

Big nasty troll with an even nastier club.

With some help I managed to track down this “beauty” of a miniature. The Miniature is unfortunately out of production, sculpted by Bob Olley I think.

He is just perfect for my collection.

I gave him one of those bases you get from Perry miniatures plastic boxes with weird measurements that I really can’t find many good uses of.

The pictures didn´t turn out as good as I had hoped, strange light somehow.
