Desert ruins

I wanted some more terrain for this weekends event.
So I rushed and splattered some more paint on this old ruin.
The pieces is from Games Workshop old Lord of the Ring line and this is the last of my collection from the stash I bought way back intended to be used in our Crusade project...
They are not really finished, finished but it will do.

So after a couple of years its finally time to bring this kit out of the closet...

I based the ruins on a kind of "puzzle" sawed pieces, so they can be fitted together but still be placed on their own without any strait corners.

And here with some miniatures I had at hand for scale

I found a older blogpost of some of the older ruins I have painted.

Dragon teeth tank traps

I made some quick dragon teeth tank traps.

It was a reall quick work but I like the result, atleast for the time it took to make.

Im not sure about the English word for it but I think its callet "peat pots" used for planting seeds.

I cut each container lose and glued it on a mfd base, zenith primed it with black and then white to give it a quick grayish colour and effect. I then glued regular sand on the base and painted it with a colour deluted with much water to let the colourvariation on the natural sand shine through.

Quick, easy and extremly cheap dragon teath tank traps.
I succesful test batch och terrain.

If I make more in the future I think I will spend some more time on the edges between the sand and the tank trapp to look a little better.

I borrowed a friends Imperial Guard models here for scale.

10mm scale ruin terrain, Dropzone Commander

I thought it was about time to smack up a pair of ruin buildings again. It would be fun to be able to fill a whole gaming table one day.
I build and painted the base and then I glued on the front and lastly just cleaned up with some more glue, sand and black paint. They are realy easy to make.

Gaming mat for Dropfleet Commander

I order a gaming mat for coming games of Dropfleet Commander.

The mat comes from Deep Cut Studio but was order through Alphaspel, a great Swedish reseller that sent the order the same day it was placed which meant I had the miniatures and this gaming mat the next day. https://alphaspel.se/

For these pictures I noted while using our round kitchen table that gaming on a round table could be a interesting way of representing a small planet...

Scatter terrain, Dropzone Commander

Here we have some small scatter terrain to add some details and make the gaming board more interesting in Dropzone Commander. Just a quick build and paintjob but it will do.

Norse buildings

Here are some buildings for my Norsemen, nothing fancy. A quick paintjob but it will do.
The buildings are from Warbases

I used a towel as the roof. Also seen are some wip Norsemen showed for scale.

I didnt glue the roof on so it is detachable, I havnt made any works on the interior as I wanted to build and paint these quickly.

Flock, basematerials..

The trees from across the park where I live have really "gifted" me with basematerials..

Im not totally sure on what type of terrain or miniatures they fit but I'm guessing they will come in handy in the future.

So go out there and bring lots of zip bags...

new terrain

Just a small post on some terrain I painted for my club. I had these laying around for some time now and I was just missing the last details to make them tabletop.
The buildnings are from Dust tactics.

Plastic toy castle?

I got this plastic toy castle from a member of the club. Initialy this looked like a good idea. But now Im not sure.

The size is all wrong and number of windows seems wrong also. The gate is HUGE...

It could be that some of it could be salvaged but now Im thinking that it could very well be that its more work than its worth.
Its probably easier and better to just construct it by my selves in styrophome instead.

Any one got a good idea?

Sleeping quarters

I thought we needed some more terrain pieces to add some extra flavours to our Zone Mortalis games so I finished theses sleeping quarters. A quick paintjob but it will do its job to add that extra level of detail to a gaming table.

I glued them to a plastic base to ease handling them.

The terrain pieces are from Spartan Scentic

Ruined building, 28mm

It was time to clean out some of my space in the basement but I just had to build something with some of the material that I had saved. It would be less stuff to toss away if I had used up some of it before...

I think that our club is lacking in nice 28mm scale buildings so this is a first little step to remedy this.

Truth be told is that they are actually not ready but they are good enough for tabletopp standard so it will do.
The plan was to add maybe a poster, flocking material or something to add some colours. But that can be added later. I needed to get rid of it in my basement cleaning.

A rather quick build with a nice result.

Here is some work in progress pictures of it.

Here is how they looked before sand and priming.

I glued on some sand.

And primed it with different cans to give it a nice tone. A quick and easy way of giving it an interesting colour.

I added actuall wallpaper to the interior of the second flor that I then blackened the edges to make it better fitt in. I wanted something that broke the dark effect of the ruin visially.
