2500pts Alpha Legion Armoured Breakthrough, 30k

Its been a little quite on this blog but I have been far from inactive hobbywise.
I have spent far to many late nights building and painted up a Armoured Breakthrough list for my Alpha Legion.
Granted, the two Fire Raptor gunships and the Command Rhino was painted to an event last summer. But besides that all is built and painted for the coming 30k event this weekend, Ajax: Battle of Hivecity.

I used this event as a sort of carrot to get a lot of miniatures painted, an excellent way to get lots of miniatures painted in a short time. And it worked.
There are some work still on lenses, searchlights, some washes need to be added and some pigments and some other mud effects but that will have to be added at a later stages.
I managed to catch the last rays of sunlight today for this photoshoot and some pictures are a bit out of focus, sorry for that.

The Sicaran HQ tank and the Predator tanks are inspired by British WW2 Caunted camo scheme.
A little experimentation that took a loot of masking for all the different areas but I feel it was worth it in the end. I was really nervous halfthrough as it looked rather bad at that stages.

The Predator tanks are a built on the basic Mars pattern plastic Predator tanks but with greenstuffed or resin cast bits with silicon or instantmoulds.
A real special special built but I like the look in the end.
They are inspired by British Caunter WW2 camo scheme.
These tanks belongs to the Alpha Legion 21 Armoured Regiment, B Squadron 5th and 6th troop.
Again inspired by British desert war tank numbering.
