Lions Rampant Crusade game 1

We had a Crusade themed gameday using the Lions Rampant rules.

We had 2 Warbands on each side.
From a standard deck of cards I picked out 4 kings and drew one at random for a varied activations. When all colour had been drawn the 4 kings were reshuffled for the next turn.
Its a neat way that I really like.

We had the County of Tripoli with some Knights of st John allied with some Christian warriors frpm Nubia pitted against two Warlords with their forces from Egypt and Damascus.

This was a blast and it felt like ages since we played some Crusading games.
And I really like the simplicity of the Lions Rampant rules and its so simple to just add another Warband to get a larger force or just as a simple way for an extra player to join.

Looking forward to see what will happen with the new edition of the Lions Rampant that are just around the corner.

Imperial heavy construction equipment

After I was given some bits from a friend I started working on this heavy construction equipment. I added some bits from my own collection and ended up with this beast...

Its really built for fun rather then belonging to a army, the plan is to use it as a terrain piece or maybe a objective in a mission.

I went for a yellow colour because I thought it would be fun to play around with effects on a yellow base.
And I like the end result.

I skipped the back hatch, leaving the engine block exposed. This was to make the model more interesting and showing more details.

Saracen Army, an inventory

With the misses and the children at the parents in laws summerhouse this week it is time to spread out some miniatures on the kitchen table...

So Im taking the opportunity to make a photo inventory on my Saracen army...

One might think that this project have gotten out of hand... But there is always new units to add...
