I finally managed to complete another batch of Russians.
The Fantasy project did get a grip on me and I got a bit carried away. That meant that my other project did lose some speed…
But here they are, some heavy hitting Russians. Models from Under Fire Miniatures and painted in (mostly…) partizan camouflage.
Photos are a little dark but very atmospheric. From what I can make out, you've done an excellent job on the Russian camo. I'm envious!

If you have any tips on the colours you used I'd be grateful. I have a pile of these waiting to be painted.
ReplyDeleteOh! Really like your bases too. All in all they look like they've stepped out of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Thanks Mark. Ill see if I can get a tutorial like the one I did on the American troops, later on.
ReplyDeleteThanks Engel. That would be appreciuated by many I think. Can you please let me know what light green colour you used as the base of the camo.

Dont let that picture on maelstroms page fool you. It is bright green.
For the basic green uniform without camo I went with the Vallejo 924 "russian uniform ww2" http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk/index.php?act=pro&pre=val_hob_mcl_pnt_193_000
You are a star Engel! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI'll pick up 833 from Model Zone tomorrow - its 3 inutes from where I work.
Cheers
