Trolltyg i tomtebyn

I felt it was high time for a troll raid on an unsuspecting tomteby... It was ages ago we last played this so...

The base rules are the massbattle rules of Hail Caesar but with ruletweeks and some special rules.
The game is focused on a clan of trolls attacking a tomte village. Its a multiplayer type of game and the tomtar react according to a dice roll on table and a bonus for each tomte in base contact. In short the more the tomtar gang together the braver they get.

Each player "order" its troll to do things and rolls on the command table to see if the braincells connect and the troll actually acts...
I acted as the gamemaster to have table and pointscores for the pillaging and solving problems or a solutions for certain things as the players are allowed to interact with the terrain, the game or other players.
White markers where given to players during the game for points and black markers where given for damages.

 

 The troll family has attacked the village...

A lone farmer is attacked in the field...

One of the trolls finds some nice mushrooms behind a rune stone.

One of the trolls had its eyes set on a fat pig...

The shaman had engaged a small group od tomte defenders

More tomtar joins the fight and the shaman in pushed back with a bloody nose...

More and more tomtar joins the mob and the shaman tries to move around the house to stay safe.
Here we can also see another troll trying to loot the village behind the tomtars back...

The troll shaman was unable to move fast enought and the now even a larger tomte mob charges forward...
And the shaman is no more...

Meenvile the two other trolls are looting the village....

The big mob catch the other troll is beaten the living crap out of...

One happy troll was last seen carrying a large chest out of the village.

These were kept at the board edge for all the players to see so all the players could see who was ahead at points and maybe adjust their plans accordingly.






 After a short rest the trolls were at it again... We still had time for another game that evening.

I added some small things and sdjusted some other things for the next game.

A larger tent is searched and some interesting loot is found. But the troll left it where it was, the plan was to first raid the village and take up this loot at the end.

A frog was seen jumping to the troll...
The troll decided to try to eat it...

But as the trolls lips touched the frog (technically that is a kiss, is it not?) a aelf appear, an enchanted aelven prince...
But he was totally smacked by the troll and was really short lived...

The trolls are actually cooperating for a first and engage a smaller mob of tomtar...

As one of the trolls are looting the small tower stacked with gods, the owner named Hasse had run into the village and gathered up some friends and are back to push the troll out...

They attack the troll but was no real match for an angry and by this time rather drunk troll...
Hasse survived and fleed into the village.

Meanvile a small groups of dwarves had entered the village and was looking for gold to loot....

The drunk troll from the tower engagement had carried his large cheest into the village and seeing the dwarves carrying other cheests out of the village somwthing in his drunken mind snapped and he charged them...

But the dwarves proven to thought and the troll was defeated

The dwarves took all the treasure they could get their hands on, their "own" and the the one the trolls had found and scuttled back to where they come from...

One really really drunk troll was lifting the roofs of the small houses and searching for more loot...

The trollshaman was last seen dragging a cow back to its home...



Another really really great game of "Tomtar och troll".... Damn these types of games are really funny.
