My friend Tobias and I had a game of Warhammer Old World. It was some time since we played so we were rather rusty about the rules.
This time I wanted to try out a different theme then last time. I tryed out the Sea Guard Garrison list found in the "Arcane Journal: High Elf Realms" book

We played 1500pts.
I forgot my two Eagle claw bolt throwers at home but was able to borrow a unit of dwarves from Tobias that will help my Elves battle those pesky goblins...
The scenario we played had a tower in the middle that gave 100 extra victory points.
The elves fast cavalry and an Eagle ready to storm down one of the flanks.
The Night Goblin red jumpy menace...
Archers and Lothern Seaguards prepairs to loosen their arrows.
Tobias was not amused that his large troll unit was to stupid to move and blocked his unit of archers...
After a hail of arrows a lone Night goblin was left, the magician had to finish him of with some magic...
A fanatic is set loose and just misses the great eagle. That would have been devastating...
Failed charge... ehh I mean failed stompy jump... 1"
Another close call...
The great eagle left the fanatic bee and instead charged and took out a goblin war machine that had terrorized one of my Lothern seaguard units..
My flank with the light cavalry and the great eagle turned around facing the middle and given my center support.
We called it here. The elven archers had totally stopped the first wave of Night goblins, the trolls didnt want to engage at all and the greenskins started to looked thinned out.
Tobias had some really bad luck with jumpy charges and fanatics and my elven archers was devastating to those unarmoured enemies...
Using Chatgpt, here are some thematic pictures.
