I have just painted an understrength French Napoleonic Light Regiment. By no means at full strength but its a start...
Some friends have for some time talked about starting up Napoleonics in 28mm and I was really hesitant as I have already done 28mm Napoleonics previously some years ago but then I had a hard time to motivate people to paint all those stripes and buttons and some people moved and so on.
So I gave away my painted collection.
But my friend Tobias 3d printed and handed me a small unit of French light infantry and some officers.
So apparently I have started painted Napoleonics again...
I still had a box of unpainted miniatures and bits, so I could but together another small unit of light infantry...
To start it all up again my plan is to start with two small units of skirmishing french Voltigeurs with some officers.
The basic infantry are mounted on square bases and the officers on rounded or ellipsed base to make them stand out a little.
So yeah... Im apparantly doing Napoleonics again...
Vive la france!

Vive l'Empereur! Looks like you've almost enough for Sharp Practice 2 or perhaps another skirmish set.
ReplyDeleteThey look good. If it's hard to get others motivated they could paint something like Prussians in great coats and oilskin shako covers relatively easily, and just enough for a small action.

Thanks Stephan.
DeleteYeah I based them all on inviduall bases just for skirmishing. Sharpes practise is a ruleset I have heard mutch good things about so I might look into it. Thanks.
