I actually bought this miniature new when she was re-released as it wasn't a miniature I had before. So not all of the miniatures from my 'painting High Elves for Warhammer' project is repainting older miniatures, some of them are actually new. hehe.
As with the other High Elves i paint now I wanted a rather unnatural, otherworldly feel to her. So she is painted i rather bleak colours with a blueish tint or shade, that I think makes a nice contrast to the earthy brown and green of her base. Making her look like a fairy, not really belonging in this world.
If I place her in the unit of Handmaidens I can get them to 12 miniatures that are a more even number.
